Just ahead of the Boston Marathon, a free community event that gives young athletes the chance to experience track and field fun is coming to Boston.

Registration is now open for the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.)  annual Boston Marathon Youth Jamboree, which gives youth in pre-K through grade 8 the chance to experience the excitement of the Boston Marathon by participating in a variety of stations—including running, jumping, and throwing activities and age-group races. The Jamboree will take place on March 8 from 1-4 p.m. at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston.

Spike the Unicorn, VIP clinicians and coaches, Olympians, and Paralympians will all be on hand throughout the day.

Registration is available online here, and is strongly encouraged. Participants can also register on-site at the Jamboree.
