Got a fan of Molly of Denali in your house? Mark your calendar for this free family event coming to Boston.

On Sunday, October 6, from 2-4 p.m., WGBH will be hosting a Molly of Denali Bookfest at the Boston Public Library. Guests will have the chance to watch an episode of the hit new PBS Kids show Molly of Denali, which is produced at WGBH, test their knowledge of Alaskan wildlife, make a beaded bracelet, take pictures with Molly of Denali landmarks, and leave with a copy of the new sticker book “A-maze-ing Snow.” Families can register for free at this link.

The Bookfest is next in a series of free kids events hosted by WGBH at its Boston Public Library studio space. In August, kids came from all over the Greater Boston area to celebrate the birthday of Pinkalicious, the main character of PBS Kids’ Pinkalicious and Peterrific.

Molly of Denali is a PBS KIDS animated series that premiered in July featuring Molly Mabray, an Alaska Native girl growing up with her parents and friends in the fictional town of Qyah, Alaska. The show became the first nationally-distributed kids show in the U.S. to feature a Native American lead.
