Springfield is about to get some fresh paint and the Springfield Museums are lending a hand. Springfield Museums is adding to the excitement of the Fresh Paint Springfield Mural Festival with two Paint Parties plus a special Culture & Cocktails themed: Paint Party!

The Fresh Paint Springfield Mural Festival is happening June 1-8 in the heart of downtown Springfield. Across downtown Springfield, ten building walls will be transformed into awe-inspiring works of art. Walk, bike, run, drive… it doesn’t matter how you do it, but don’t miss the chance to see the art being created and encourage the artists putting it all out for Springfield.

Fresh Paint Parties at the Springfield Museums

There are three opportunities to join a Paint Party at the Springfield Museums. The first two are free of charge, the third is combined with the fun and festivities of the popular Culture & Cocktails ($20 for nonmembers, $10 for members). You can paint as little or as long as you would like Sunday, May 26, 1-3 p.m.; Saturday, June 1, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Culture & Cocktails, June 6, 5–8 p.m. No prior experience necessary. Open to all ages and abilities.

What’s a Fresh Paint Party?

At the Fresh Paint Parties, you work alongside the artists on giant paint-by-number canvases which then get installed on the wall. No prior experience is necessary. All ages and abilities are encouraged to participate. Paint for as little or as long as you like. No need to RSVP, just come ready to have fun with paint!
