Gardner High junior Savannah Pineda scored the equalizer in the second half as the Wildcats earned the point they needed to qualify for Districts by tying the Narragansett Warriors, 1-1, Tuesday evening, at Arthur L. Stuart Memorial Field in Baldwinville.
Gardner (7-7-4) must now wait until Friday when the playoff pairings are announced by the MIAA to learn who its playoff opponent will be.
Narragansett, meanwhile, finishes its season with a 7-9-2 record, a seven-point improvement upon last year’s 4-11-1 campaign.

Elvis Camejo recorded a hat trick and senior goalkeeper Elijah Cormier scored the first and only varsity goal of his five-year career in the Wildcats’ victory over the Warriors (2-14-2) in the season finale for both teams in Baldwinville.
Will Lyamuya, another senior playing in his final game, also scored for Gardner (4-13-1) while Rigo Ruiz had two goals and Ricky Ruiz chipped in with one as well.
