Winter is upon us and, at a certain point, we all need to get out. The Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley is offering an opportunity.
Tickets are now on sale for Nashoba Valley's first Cabin Fever Winter Festival. This fun-for-all-ages outdoor event takes place on Saturday, Feb. 1, from noon to 4 p.m. on Bolton Town Common. The snow date is Feb. 8.
"Our Cabin Fever Winter Festival is a first-of-its-kind fundraiser, created to raise funds to meet the needs of our three towns’ local programs and service projects," Rotarian Nanci Bishop said. "This Winter Festival is also designed to bring the residents of Bolton, Lancaster and Stow plus the neighboring communities together for a day of fun and fellowship."
There will be something for everyone, from chili, beer and wine tastings, to hot chocolate, s'mores and unique games and activities.
Chili Challenge: Enjoy tasting the special chili recipes of local restaurants as they compete for the Chili Champ of 2020;
Touch a Fire Truck: The fire departments from Bolton, Lancaster and Stow will bring three different types of fire vehicles for children to explore;
Pull a Person Sled Race: Pull your child, pull your friend, or pull your grandmother over the finish line, to vie to be the Sled Race Champion of the Year;
Join the Sled Parade: Decorate your sled - and win a prize for your creativity;
Scavenger Hunt through Bolton Trails: Walk through Bolton trails, searching for specific items;
Winter Corn Hole Contest: Put together the best corn holers you know and see if your team can win;

S'mores and Hot Chocolate: Fire pits around the pergola will be set up for toasting marshmallows - and all the fixings for a s'more will be on hand. Hot chocolate will be available all day, too.
Sample Beer and Wine from Local Vendors: With the price of a ticket, each adult will be treated to two, three-ounce glasses of beer and wine from local vendors;
Music: Joel Bates, principal of the Florence Sawyer School in Bolton, will keep the action going with music and updates on schedules and winners.
