MHCC names Richardson CEO

The board of directors of the Montachusett Home Care Corp. recently announced that Lori A. Richardson has been appointed as chief executive officer for the Leominster nonprofit. Ms. Richardson is the fifth executive officer to lead the organization that focuses its services on the elderly and adults with a disability.

Ms. Richardson has served as Montachusett Home Care’s chief financial officer for 12 years. Prior to that, she served as the chief business officer at Anna Maria College in Paxton. She earned a bachelor’s degree in management at the UMass Dartmouth and a master’s degree in business administration at Nichols College. She also received a certificate of advanced studies in business from Anna Maria College. Ms. Richardson currently services as an adjunct faculty member teaching graduate courses in aging services for the McCormack Graduate School of Studies at UMass Boston.

Hearts for Andrea CPR Clinic

The All Hearts for Andrea CPR Clinic will be held on March 23 at The West Boylston Town Hall.

Milford Regional hosts hiring open house

Milford Regional Medical Center is currently recruiting for clinical and non-clinical positions, including registered nurses, surgical techs, food and nutrition staff, registration secretaries, lab support technicians, paramedics, and patient safety assistants, and will hold an on-site hiring event on from 2 to 6 p.m. March 28 in the Physicians Conference Center off the main lobby.

Additionally, Milford Regional is offering a sign-on bonus for certified nursing assistants and surgical technicians.

Blackmar honored at Day Kimball

Wendy Blackmar, pre-certification clerk, has been named employee of the month for January by Day Kimball Healthcare.

Ms. Blackmar, who has nearly 30 years of experience in the medical field, began her career at DKH in 2012. In her current role, Ms. Blackmar acts as a liaison between the patient, physician, and insurance company and assists patients with the next level of their care with regard to financial responsibility and scheduling.

DKH holds annual meeting

Day Kimball Healthcare's annual meeting of the corporators was held in February at the Mansion at Bald Hill in Woodstock. The meeting served to review the organization's achievements in fiscal 2018, celebrate its 125th anniversary, approve a new mission and vision, recognize 36 corporators with 25 years or more of service and announce DKH’s employee of the year.
