LANCASTER - A series of Community Preservation Act information sessions will be held to inform Lancaster residents how the act works.

The state program can be used to upgrade recreational spaces, create affordable housing and preserve historic sites and open land.

Three informational sessions are available. Each will include a 10-minute slideshow and allow time for questions and answers. In all, it will last about a half hour.

The sessions are Wednesday, March 11, 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 12, 10:30 a.m., and Saturday, March 14, 10:30 p.m., in the Dexter Room on the lower level of the Thayer Memorial Library.
