Bolton: Saturday, Oct. 26, Parks and Recreation sponsored Halloween parade and party for resident; pre-parade party on the common, 2 p.m.; Parade begins at 3 p.m. and moves down Main Street to Mechanic Street (road closes at 2:45 p.m.; Trick-or-Treat lane at Florence Sawyer School, 3:15 p.m.

Clinton: No official hours on Oct. 31, but police suggest 5-8 p.m.

Lancaster: Oct. 31, Town Green 5-8 p.m.

Sterling: Oct. 31, 4-8 p.m.

West Boylston: Oct. 31, 5-8 p.m., according to police. The Board of Health, however, voted this week to recommend trick or treating be completed by 5:30 p.m. due to the ongoing threat of the EEE virus and urges residents to take precautions to protects against mosquito bites.

Officials in all the towns recommend parents take appropriate precautions for mosquito-borne illnesses if the threats is still active. Mosquitoes are a threat until a couple of frosts.
