On behalf of the students in “The ART of FASHION” Program at ArtReach, we would like to cordially invite you to our Season 5 Fashion Show, “Vintage Re-imagined” taking place this Sunday, from 11:30 am until 1:00pm.
We have well over 50 girls in our program this season, with many participating in our runway show. Couture from each decade, forms large and small, jewelry designs, wearable accessories, 1940’s style “Victory Strip Skirts” designed by the girls, and our first ever re-designed wedding gown! Food, FUN, and a champagne punch will be served immediately after the runway show, which begins at 11:45am. The doors open at 11:30am for guests to see the designs and vote for their favorite. Located in The White Room at the Crompton Collective, guests will have time (if they choose) to do a little local shopping, have a bite at Birchtree Bread Company (located directly upstairs), and maybe head over to Union Station for the “StART at the Station” Holiday Artisan Fair, where you are sure to find something unique for that special someone on your list.
This season we have partnered with Mary Ellen Wessell of Santa’s Big League, and are asking guests to consider bringing an Amazon Gift Card (any denomination) as a donation to this organization. We have many girls in our program, from all over Worcester and our surrounding towns. All have the opportunity to experience fashion, and all that entails (from clothing, to shoes, to accessories) inside of our studio, and out. Many will receive fashionable gifts this season from family and friends, while some in our community may not. At the beginning of the season, students in all of our classes discussed how we could give back our love of fashion right here in our community, and Santa’s Big League seemed the perfect fit. Mary Ellen and her elves make sure that our older children in need, the ones Santa may not have on his list, receive gifts at Christmas time, including clothes, shoes, and accessories. Your donation will make sure that every child will receive something under the tree this year, and for some, it will be the gift of fashion! To read more about Santa’s Big League, to sponsor a child yourself, or to donate outside of our Fashion Show, please visit their website at http://www.smilesonkids.org or speak with Mary Ellen yourself at the show.
We are excited to share our vintage reimagined designs with you on Sunday, and look forward to seeing you then!
