Target Expands Clothing Line for Children With Special Needs

Target is expanding its in-house Cat & Jack clothing line to include even more adaptive apparel for children with special needs.

After introducing a selection of sensory-friendly apparel pieces in August, which featured tagless and flat seam styles, Target is expanding Cat & Jack to include a 40-item assortment of fashionable adaptive apparel pieces to allow all kids to feel comfortable and confident.

Developed by Target’s internal design team, most pieces are based off current designs in the Cat & Jack collection and were updated with features such as side and back snap and zip closures, and hidden openings for abdominal access that make the daily routine of getting dressed easier for kids and parents.

Ranging from $4.50 to $39.99 (with most under $20), the adaptive selection features items for boys and girls, including puffer jackets, long-sleeve tees, short-sleeve tees, hooded sweatshirts, leggings, and bodysuits.

Combining both fashion with function at an affordable price, the online-only adaptive-friendly assortment is available on target.com beginning Oct. 22. For images and additional details surrounding the collection, please visit ABullseyeView.com.

Outerwear was created with design features including side openings and zip-off sleeves to help make dressing easier for kids who are lying down or sitting.

Tagless T-shirts

The long-sleeve fleece sweatshirts in the adaptive assortment feature tagless designs with flat seams to provide kids with ultimate comfort all day long, along with a hidden opening with abdominal access for convenience as needed.

The short-sleeve bodysuits in the assortment feature a convenient hidden opening for abdominal access while the tagless design with flat seams offers kids the comfort they need to go about their day with ease. Can be paired with comfy leggings or joggers from the Cat & Jack adaptive selection so kids stay cozy anywhere they go

The adaptive joggers for boys and leggings for girls are high rise for convenient diaper coverage and have flat seams and are tagless to prevent uncomfortable rubbing or irritation.

The sleepwear bodysuits in the adaptive assortment feature a zipper closure on the back that makes it easy for kids to get dressed while preventing them from unzipping it as they’re asleep. They’ll get to choose between two sleepwear options thanks to the reversible design, while flat seams and a tagless construction keep them comfortable as they drift off to sleep.
