Welcome
As the creative projects at baystateparent grow, so does my laundry. The laundry is stuffed in every free space of my bedroom and adjoining office. Sometimes I pile it on our bed in the morning with ambitions to fold it before the day's end. Full Story

Opening My Heart To Open Adoption
(PART OF A SERIES BY NEWLY ADOPTIVE MOM,
It's funny—no…sad--but it seems that much of what's out there can really be a turn off to potential adoptive parents as well as to birth moms who are considering open adoption as a viable solution. And it's not just the media. I mean, frankly, even some of the professionals out there seem to be card- carrying members of the "adoption prevention committee. Full Story

My Yellow Chariot From Heaven
It's a school-day ritual. The twins are lined up on our front walk while I stand at the front door in my pajamas clutching a cup of hot coffee. We all strain to listen and then I hear it, that unmistakable far-away rumble. There's the backfire as it turns the corner and yes, the glints of yellow through the trees as it roars closer. It's coming! Full Story

1. What do you remember about back-to -school shopping when you were a child? How is the tradition carried on with your own children? UNDERMYROOF
What's Funny about the Newspaper?
F or too long, I have taken the newspaper too seriously. I get all my news from printed pages, almost never from the nightly news. It is tough enough to read all the bad stuff; I don't want to have to see it, too. So every day I read all the serious things to become more educated, to become a global citizen, to be a grown up.
