LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Dear Bay State Parent,
My name is Donna McMilleon and I am a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty. I have a client who is looking for information on school systems in the area. I remember seeing your review pages on the school systems, all over Worcester County, but I can't find my old copy. I really wanted to be able to provide not only this client but others that may be interested with this information. I was very impressed and I saved the issue, but for the life of me I can't find it. Could you please get back to me with which of your back issues had this pull out section and also if I could get a copy for my clients?

Editor's Note: The magazine used to publish a multi-page chart comparing school systems in Eastern & Central Massachusetts, but haven't done it since the August 2004 issue. We stopped doing the chart as it became more difficult to compare the public school systems and private schools under the No Child Left Behind Act and the requirement of MCAS testing. Charter & private schools don't have to follow the federal law nor administer MCAS testing.

Dear Bay State Parent,
I am a mother of two boys and a big fan of your magazine. Especially the articles on Autism like the one in your April issue. I have a son who is on the Autism Spectrum. In the last year he has been treated by a DAN! Doctor in Northampton, MA. I was happy to see the Dan! program mentioned in your article, but I would have liked to see the Web site listed as well, which is www.autism.com
Stress, anger, meltdowns, social misunderstandings and sensitivities to lights and noise used to be an everyday event in my son's life. Since these treatments he is 90% better than he used to be! Now he is calm, happy, relaxed, and so relieved of most of his symptoms. He is now doing things he loves like acting and modeling, and he recently recorded a radio commercial for the Mass. Teachers Association, which is airing now all over the state! My son and I have been conducting a fundraiser lately in our area that raises funds for Autism research benefiting the Autism Research Institute, which is the group who has researched and developed treatments for the DAN! program over the last forty years. The response to the fundraiser has been tremendous! I highly recommend all parents of autistic children to look for a DAN! doctor in their area.
Thank you for keeping Autism Awareness, and treatment awareness alive!
