Aug. 14 to Aug. 18: Hampton Beach Children's Festival. A magic show by BJ Hickman at 10 a.m. kicks off a week of puppets, storytellers, contests, talent shows, free ice cream, dancing, balloons, and more. The fun is topped with a huge costume parade with Ted the Cat down Ocean Boulevard on Friday where everyone gets a prize. All events are free. 603-926-8717.

Aug. 17 to Aug. 20: Martha's Vineyard Fair. 35 Panhandle Rd., West Tisbury.
