LETTERSTO THEEDITOR

Dear Bay State Parent,

I read your October issue cover-tocover. Thanks for focusing part of the issue on kids and sports (Premier Guide to Kids Sports). We spend a large part of our year going to practices, games, etc. It’s great to know that your magazine focuses on what parents deal with everyday. The issue really hit home for us. My husband coaches our daughter’s soccer team and my son has shown an interest in playing “the fastest growing sport” in the state, according to your issue (lacrosse), along with the other sports he currently plays. Sport is a large part of our daily routine. Thanks for recognizing it.

Mary Kennedy, Newton

Dear Bay State Parent,

It is amazing how much it costs for a child to take up a sport these days (Cost of Playing Sports, October issue). We have one child playing football, hockey, and baseball, two girls playing soccer and doing gymnastics. I hope you plan to do follow up articles with winter, spring & summer sports too.

Tamara Jones

Dear Bay State Parent,

I love the decorating tips in the latest issue. (10 Fun Decorating Ideas for Your Child’s Room, October issue). Have you ever considered a column on decorating, organizational tips? I think it would be a great edition to your magazine.

Dear Bay State Parent,

We had a great time making homemade lava lamps. (She Blinded Me With Science, October issue) The girls had a blast and it was a great way to occupy a rainy day. The girls made pink lava lamps for their bedrooms. We look forward to the activity column monthly.

Alicia Mendez, Milford

Dear Bay State Parent,

Thank you for the Robots DVD. I enjoyed watching it and my mom enjoys your magazine.

Kurtis Wilson, Princeton Dear Bay State Parent,

We went hiking at Purgatory Chasm, based on your recommendation (Day Trip Destination column, October issue). We had a fantastic time. It was beautiful weather and it was a great family outing. We plan to visit Higgins Armory on the kids next half day of school. We love the family trips recommendations and can’t wait to pick up Bay State Parent each month.

Sarah Staples

Dear Bay State Parent,

Your November Adoption issue was your best ever. No other parenting publication in the state comes close to covering adoption issues like Bay State Parent. Your magazine is wildly popular in our monthly support group. Everyone wants a copy. Thanks for bringing adoption issues to the forefront.

Dear Bay State Parent,

My son and his friends had a magical time at his Harry Potter Movie Marathon Party. Thanks for the fabulous ideas (Party-of-the-month, November issue). The boys made their own snitches, ate Bertie Bott’s Beans and popcorn, and had a bundle of fun watching the Potter movies. It was the easiest sleepover I had ever hosted.

Dear Bay State Parent,

Just wanted to comment on what a wonderful magazine you have. The articles are well written and the ads are impressive. It is obvious that you have a top-notch team there. Keep up the good work!
